Site administration

When I am trying to register at a web site, I only fill in required fields, not sure if I am typical or not. My suggestions here are

1. Clearly mark fields that are mandatory with a red * (typical for other web site)
2. Hopefully we are capturing enough information so as to get statistics on people visiting and taking the time to register:
Industry area : choices - telecom, defense, gaming, other
Your role : choices - developer, managment, marketing,
sales, other

The tree under your account name does not expand and contract as expected. the icons are unresponsive (you have to click on the words instead). Also there is no way to contract an expanded branch of the tree. I am using spreadfirefox.

The Downloads -> Documentation page tries to open huge documents instead of allowing downloads. This has my computer locked up and unresponsive for several minutes.
Need to download documents to the users machine instead of opening them.
