Open Source Technical Lead

Role and Responsibility: Responsible for development and technical leadership of top quality opensource development project including: • Define opensource development projects and developer recruiting • Managing opensource development project timeline and release • Actively lead/contribute to the developement of open source projects • Moderator for user/developer discussion and support forums • Work with internal development and product management organization to - create opensource roadmap and release plan - recommend/manage opensource project contribution back to internal development release plan • Relay, escalating technical product issues into proper internal support organization Qualifications: • Overall 10+ years of network infrastructure software development experience at telecom equipment manufacturers such as Cisco, Nortel, Lucent, Alcatel, etc. • Experience in open source development is a plus • Excellent Linux programming experience • Excellent programming experience using C, C++. • Experience with embedded development tools such as Eclipse UML, Rational Rose, etc. • BSCS, BSEE, (MS is preferred) Company provides competitive salary, medical benefit, paid vacations/holidays, 401k and incentive employee stock options.
