Application health check callback not called

I'm running 3.0beta2 (build 1812) on fedora core 6. It would seem that the clCompAppHealthCheck callback (assigned in clEoConfig struct) is never invoked. I'm using the default code (clCompAppMain.c) provided by the IDE. I'm not sure, but I believe the default polling interval is supposed to be 2 seconds.
